THE ADVICE PROCESS

THE WAY WE WORK:

Sterling Mortgages & Protection Ltd follow a carefully designed mortgage advice process so that you know exactly what is happening at each stage of its six steps:

Step 1 - Engagement

Identify your needs and objectives

We will arrange an introductory meeting to fully explain how our service works, identify your primary mortgage & protection needs and objectives and answer any questions you may have. This will be done at our cost.

Step 2 - Discovery

Gather information

If you feel you can benefit from our service, your adviser will work with you to fully understand your objectives and gather financial information to provide a comprehensive picture of your circumstances.

Step 3 - Research & analysis

Research the market on your behalf

Once your objectives are agreed, we will search the thousands of mortgages on the market and recommend a product that most accurately meets your individual requirements. We also provide an analysis of your protection requirements (life insurance & income protection insurance) and will recommend a suitable course of action. This analysis will be presented to you in the form of a formal mortgage suitability report.

Step 4 - Report presentation

Mortgage Suitability Letter

Once we’ve constructed your mortgage suitability letter, we’ll take you through it stage by stage. It will set out specific and realistic recommendations designed to achieve your stated objectives. We will also identify any protection needs you have and will provide a potential solution(s) to meet these needs.

Step 5 - Arrangement

Arrangement of Products

Now it’s time to put our recommendations into action. You can relax in the knowledge that we will be taking care of all the necessary steps to arrange your mortgage and protection products on your behalf. We will liaise with the financial institutions on your behalf and keep you informed of progress each step of the way.

Step 6 - Ongoing service & Relationship

Monitoring your progress

Where an ongoing service is agreed, your adviser will help you regularly review your mortgage and protection requirements to make sure that they reflect your objectives. Reviews will take account of any changes in your personal circumstances, financial market conditions and relevant legislation.
